Directors Award

Doug Bell

Doug was presented with a Directors Award to recognize his vision and commitment to the success of the society.  As a member of the Board of Directors in the early 2010s he recognized that communication is a critical part of our mission to share knowledge and experiences in flight test to the wider community. He was responsible for the initial setup of  the society's social media channels, and has carefully maintained these until the present time to ensure control of this vital communication channel until recently when a formal Social Media Manager position was established. His efforts over time are recognized with this Directors Award.

Wg Cdr Kalyan Raman

Kalyan was presented with a Directors award to recognize his significant and lasting efforts to the society. As president of the India Chapter until 2024 he has contributed immensely to the expansion and growth of SFTE in India. Despite significant time zone challenges he was a regular participant in Society meetings, ensuring that India Chapter had a voice as a part of the society. He tirelessly worked within India, and also with the international board to develop and grow the chapter in India, and leaves his role with a healthy and growing chapter, one of only 3 non-US based chapters. His efforts are recognized with this Directors Award.
