At this time, the International Test Pilot School (ITPS Canada Ltd) is looking to employ an Unmanned Air Systems Flight Instructor.

Job Duties:

Instructing on Avionics and the Flight testing of Unmanned Air Systems

Provide lectures in the classroom

Participate in related projects from time to time.

Manage the development of the Unmanned Air Systems program and capabilities of ITPS

Skills and Requirements:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in test evaluation of Avionic and/or Unmanned Air Systems.

Completion of post-secondary education.

Experience in a teaching/training environment preferred.

Management and course development experience is required

Background in military unmanned air systems, preferably in an operational environment.

Experience in airborne operations is required

Completion of a formal UAS systems course or Flight Test Engineer course is required

Extensive military and/or industry experience in Unmanned Air Systems coperations, development and testing is considered an asset

Must be a good team player, self-motivated and meticulous

Senior Flight Test Instrumentation Technician (NOC 2244)

We have a need for a Senior Flight Test Instrumentation Technician to support the fleet of airplanes and helicopters instrumentation systems.

Job Duties:

  • Design, integrate and install flight test instrumentation on our fleet of airplanes and helicopters
  • Repair and overhaul, calibrate and test aircraft instruments
  • Provide lectures on General FTI to trainee test pilots and flight test engineers periodically
  • Participate in related projects from time to time.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Related degree/diploma is required
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience instrumenting prototype aircraft for flight tests
  • In-depth knowledge of sensors, data acquisition, harness manufacturing, system installation, integration and troubleshooting essential
  • Specific knowledge and prior training on Curtiss Wright (formerly ACRA) data acquisition systems preferred.
  • Experience with airborne and ground telemetry components is mandatory
  • Project Management training and experience required
  • Must be a good team player, self-motivated and meticulous
