The Seattle Chapter of the Society of Flight Test Engineers is proud to announce a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the Society, which happened right here in Seattle in 1968! This two-day event will both honor our legacy and look to the future, and you are invited!
The event will be held on Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA. Members and non-members alike are welcome to attend, so those of you still working in the industry are encouraged to forward this to your co-workers. will be a local day-long Symposium, featuring presentations and talks from a variety of flight test engineers about a variety of interesting topics, followed by a social cocktail reception.
is the public 50th Anniversary event; all attendee's to Symposium will get free Museum admission all day , and we will be holding a public panel discussion about flight testing, and the Museum will open all four of their Boeing flight test airplanes for tours, some of which are not normally open to the public: the first 747, the first 727, the first 737, and the third 787. A notification of the event was published in the Museum of Flight magazine Aloft.
Finally, evening we will be hosting a Celebration Dinner as a social capstone for the weekend.
