Enhancing Air Vehicle and Mission Systems Flight Testing in an Austere Fiscal Environment

Powered aircraft flight testing has been ongoing for over a century. Early flight testers had very limited technology and placed little emphasis on safety, specifications, or fiscal concerns. Over a hundred years later, flight test technology has greatly improved, specifications are precisely detailed, and safety is paramount, yet fiscal resources continue to dwindle.

Abstracts are requested that emphasize ways to enhance air vehicle and mission systems flight testing in an austere fiscal environment and that focus on the following areas: Air Vehicle Testing and Analysis, Mission Systems Testing and Analysis, Air Vehicle and Mission Systems Compatibility and Interoperability, and Flight Test Cost Versus Safety.
