Enhancing Air Vehicle and Mission Systems Flight Testing in an Austere Fiscal Environment
Powered aircraft flight testing has been ongoing for over a century. Early flight testers had very limited technology and placed little emphasis on safety, specifications, or fiscal concerns. Over a hundred years later, flight test technology has greatly improved, specifications are precisely detailed, and safety is paramount, yet fiscal resources continue to dwindle.
